Jared Leto Goes Blonde, Hits Fashion Week, 16.02.2009
Sporting a newly lightened coif, Jared Leto was spotted arriving at the Calvin Klein Menswear Fall 2009 fashion show in New York City yesterday (February 15).
The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman looked slick in a black leather zip-up jacket with aviator sunglasses, black trousers, and black lace-up shoes.
On his way to NYC on Friday (February 13), Leto was spotted at LAX International Airport as he went through the security checkpoint. Due to his resemblance to the Unabomber, Jared was detained and searched before he boarded the plane.
And it seems that Cupid may have influenced the alt-rocker, because he was spotted on the sidewalk outside his hotel on Valentine’s Day passing out white roses.
According to Leto, he received 40 white roses from “someone very sweet,” but he wanted to spread the love. “What are you going to do with 40 roses in a hotel room?” he asked. "It's funny to see people's reaction, just having a stranger come up and handing them roses."

Still fighting the good fight here in the City of Angels. Working nonstop in the laboratory, experimenting with any and everything. So many exciting things happening we wish we could share them with everyone all the time. Yes, there are those days filled with more questions than answers and a healthy amount of self doubt but we think this is the absolute best thing we have ever done to date. Now it's just about finishing. About commitment. About surrender. You know the drill. This part of the story isn't too different for all of us around the world. I guess it just depends how the light falls.
So, sorry to say it doesn't look like we will have a record ready to put out this year....
...just kidding. Hehaw. It'll be done momentarily and out sometime this summer. Woooohooooo! We cannot wait. So many secrets to tell about what we have been up to. Soon....
The EMI situation is still the same unfortunately. They are still intent on suing us for 30 gazillion dollars and we are still intent on fighting for what we believe in. We had hopes for some sort of resolution by now but it's not yet meant to be. We have prepared ourselves for whatever outcome may transpire and although we welcome continued conversation and compromise we remain ready for the battle for what is right and true.
Whatever happens we promise you all one thing. This new album will be out this year. No. Matter. What.

30 Seconds To Mars May Giveaway New Album, 10.02.2009
30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has spoken to Rock Sound about the release plans for the band's third album. The group are currently recording in Los Angeles with British producer Flood despite an ongoing $30 million dollar lawsuit with their former record label.
''Anything can happen, you never know what the future will hold,'' Leto admits to Rock Sound as the band's plans remains clouded by the ongoing legal conflict. ''Maybe we will just throw our new album on the internet and see if anybody wants to take it. We have never made a penny from selling a record anyway so why would it matter to us?''
Rock Sound can also confirm that two new songs have been titled 'Kings And Queens' and 'Hurricane'. For more exclusive news about 30 Seconds To Mars make sure you check out future issues of Rock Sound.
